L'Auberge Du Nord

£25.00

Originally named Le Nord, records go back to 1580 when the property was a residence owned by Nicolas Le Couteur though it is believed the building goes even further back and some parts of the building are thought to date back as far as medieval times.

The property stayed in the Le Couteur family for over 200 years but was sold to Phillipe Romeril in 1798 and became a working farm.  Stories circulate that it was during this time that the property was used as an orphanage and a military hospital however there are no records to substantiate this claim.

It was not until the 1940's that the building became an inn and restaurant.
