Information - Resistance Nest Milbrook
This casemate was built into a Victorian slipway to block access off the beach and camouflage the bunker behind a granite wall.
One of the smallest but by far best preserved of the bunkers in the care of the C.I.O.S.
Sealed in 1946 at the request of a local resident meant that the bunker largely escaped the post war scrap metal drive. This bunker still retains much of it's original features including wall panelling and rare ventilation equipment and the bunker's lighting still uses the original German cabling.
Only re-opened in 1985, Restistance Nest Milbrook truly is a time capsule.
With knocks and taps heard, sudden cold spots and numerous EVP's caught, who still resides in the casemate?
